Mobile Home Trailer Axle Replacement Parts

Question:

I have two trailer house axles that are 3 inch diameter axles. It has 25580 inner and 67048 outer bearings. It has 12 by 2 1/4 hubs with a 5 by 5 1/2 bolt pattern and 1/2 inch diameter studs. I dont see and dont know where a manufacturers name would be. I cant find what weight axle it is. There is no sticker or plate on the axles that tells its weight. They were pulled off a trailer house that had a triple axle setup. I wondering if you would know the weight capacity of these axles? Im looking to get brakes for these. Do you know what kit I would need to replace these brakes and brake springs? I see you slso sell a complete kit with the backing. What is the part number for these two different options?

With that bearing and hub information provided, we can narrow down the axle size to either 5,200 or 6,000lbs. From here if you measure the inner diameter of the grease seal, you may be able to narrow it down more. If you get 2.125 inches you likely have 5,200lb axles but if you measure 2.25 inches, then they're probably 6,000lb axles.

We don't carry hubs that match those bearings with a 5 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern so these measurements may not add up. This happens often with mobile home axles because they are actually designed for one-time use and replacement parts are difficult to find.

Since these are mobile home axles, the bearings might match but other components may not. The mounting flange bolts need to be a 5 bolt flange and have the correct bolt measurements.

For an electric brake assembly, go with the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-458-459 but if they are instead hydraulic brakes, the Titan Hydraulic Brake Kit # T2351100-000 are another solid option we carry.
