Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Titan Hydraulic Brake Kit. The hydraulic drum brake assemblies are designed for use with a surge type trailer brake actuator. These are Uni-Servo brake assemblies, so that mean that it has one wheel cylinder with a single piston that actually pushes out against the brake pads to create wedge effect inside the brake drum.Also the Uni-Servo design delivers around 20% braking when in reverse. The pads are fully bonded to the shoes, not riveted, for longer life and more braking to work. Here on the back side, this is the back plate, it has a steel construction to it and then a black painted finish. Also down here, this is your adjuster plug.
This is included. It covers the access hole to keep dirt and grime out of the assembly and off of the shoes.Both assemblies are included, one for the driver's side and one for the passenger side. Mounting bolts and hardware are sold separately. This down here is the .. gear knob that you use to make your adjustments as needed.
When it comes to the measurements, when we measure the diameter, that's measured from the edge of one pad to the edge of the other. So if we place a ruler on there and go straight across, we can see that that measures 12 inches. Then the width is actually to the pad width. So this pad right here, edge to edge, is two inches wide.This kit's designed to fit wheel sizes 14 1/2 inches, 15 inches, or 16 inches. The mounting phalange bolt pattern, this is a five bolt design and then the center hole diameter is three and one quarter inches.
