Adapter to Allow Auxiliary Propane Tank to RV Propane System

Question:
I plan on having a fixed 7 Gallon tank installed onboard, but want to have option of adding an offboard tank sometimes. Would it be possible to add a plug on one inlet to close it off most of the time, or does something about the automatic changeover preclude this?

We have a kit designed just for what you are looking for with the MB Sturgis T-Fitting w/ Hoses for POL Valve # 103539-MBS. This installs between the tank and the regulator to give you a way to switch between your main RV propane tank and an auxiliary tank.
