Question:
I installed the connector per the instructions along with the grounding screw. I then ran the wiring Behind the heat shield between it and the black plastic the heat shield secures to. Is this a good location? Will it get too hot and melt? Thanks,

As long as the T-One # 118624 wiring isn't touching the heat shield it is in a good place on your 2015 Land Rover Evoque. I have attached an installation video of us installing this wiring kit on a 2013 Evoque that you can reference.
If you plan on using the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75227 for towing then to complete a towing setup you also need a ball mount kit. I recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900 because it includes two ball mounts, one with a 3/4” rise or 2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise or 4” drop, a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip. You will want to refer to the attached ball mount article to ensure that this kit is correct for your towing application.
