2019 Kia Sorento Brake Switch Wire for Installing Brake Controller
Published 08/01/2019 >
Question:
Does etrailer have an updated installation video of the ETBC7 for the Kia Sorento? I have watched the 2016 Kia version but am having a difficult time locating the brake switch wires. Your video mentioned it was the green wire. Do you know if this is still up to date?

A 2016 and 2019 Kia Sorento are both technically the same generation but there was a mild facelift in 2018 which might be why the brake signal wire is a different color from what we found on the 2016 model. Since this is the newest Sorento we've installed a controller in the best solution we have would be to use the included circuit tester of the # ETBC7 to keep testing all of the wires at the brake pedal till you find the circuit that only has voltage when the brakes are applied and use it for the red wire of your controller.
