What is the finish? Is it rust resistant?

The B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop, 5-1/2" Rise - 10K - Chrome # BWTS10048C has a dual process chrome plating on the shank as well as the hitch balls. This is not only to ensure it continues to look nice but to provide excellent rust resistance. We have had no customer complaints on the product that I'm aware of regarding the finish holding up to the elements and regular use.
I recommend a locking hitch pin like the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitches - Flush - 2-3/4" Span - Chrome # BX8858 to protect your investment.
