We have a really great trailer jack replacement for what you have with the etrailer Sidewind Jack part # TJA-5000S-B. This is a sidewind jack like what you have but as you can see in the attached install video it can install with the handle on the front side of the trailer.

The shortest a-frame style trailer jack we offer that has a front facing sidewind handle is the part TJA-5000S-B that I mentioned which has a retracted height of 8-3/8 inches. We offer a shorter jack, the # TJA-2001-B which is a top wind that has a 5-1/8 inch retracted height.
