Why Will My New Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent Lid Not Close All the Way

Question:

Is the cover the same for both manual raise and electric raise covers? I have an electric up/down cover and ordered your FVK 1020-19 replacement and it fit great but when closing the metal arm linkage binds against the metal slide on the cover leaving the lid open about 1. The vent in my rv is an LFB2000 with a flat lid and the lift arm roller on the side of the lift arm towards the fan motor. I ordered the domed lid from etrailer and it’s a great lid and I’d like to make it work for my application if possible. Think it would work to replace the lift arm with one with the roller on the other side?

There are two types of lift arms for the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vents, part # FVK8011-05 if you have a dome shaped lid or part # FVK8014-05 if you have a flat shaped lid. If you previously had a flat shaped lid and switched to the dome shaped lid then you would also need to replace the lift arm part, part # FVK8011-05 which is what the Replacement Dome for Fan-Tastic Vent RV Roof Vents part # FVK1020-19 is designed to be used with.

If this is not what you are looking for then please just let me know but this will fix your problem if you were trying to go from a flat style lid to a dome style lid without also changing the lift arm.
