Looking for 10 Gallon Standard Water Heater Recommendation for RV  

Thank you for the feedback Jameson. There are obvious pros & cons to tank verses tankless. For me and how we use our motor home, tank seems to be the better choice. One of the major downsides to tankless is the fact that they freeze up much quicker and are being replaced at a much higher frequency because of this. Since I don’t boondock very often, propane is also not my first choice for heating water.

We traveled across the country for work. I have seven RVs we have put a fury on tankless and all seven units and we love them. We have had zero issues. I cannot say better things about the ferry on tanks.

When I replaced mine to a tankless I used the disconnected 120v heater circuit as a receptacle circuit and installed a plug then put a low wattage heat trace on the in & out lines. Been down to 12 degrees and not frozen and added a 75 watt heat lamp on a timer to turn on at night in the area where my heater, sink lines and in coming water line is. Installed a pvc line for sewer so when it get really cold for long period I let the water drip to the grey tank with the valve open. I used my 120v heater switch in the control panel to turn on & off the heat trace and light. I used the 12 DC water switch to turn on & off the tank less water heater.
