Question:

Will this work on my 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 .. I bought one from Napa auto parts and it fit but it will not run my running lights on my rv so my question is . IS this plug the same as the factory plug ?

The 2012 Ram 3500 will have a US Car Connector Plug pre-wired from the factory therefore in order to add or replace a 7-way trailer connector you can use the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket part # HM40975 which should fit in the rear bumper cutout but if not there is a bracket for underneath. This would more closely resemble the factory trailer connector.

That said, we also have the Pollak Replacement 7-Pole part # PK11893 for a 7-way only plug. Please note that if you do not have running lights with either of the above trailer connectors then you most likely have a fuse out in your fuse box so this is what I recommend you check next.
