Can I Stow The Trailer Valet XL Against Trailer Frame

Question:
I am able to rotate the trailer valet xl into to storage position but, while it remains horizontal, it swings freely because there is no rotation pin like there is in the 5X. How is this meant to be stored? Id like to rotate it horizontal and then swing it up for better ground clearance but it wont stay in place. Do I just need to secure it with a rachet strap to the frame or is there a way to do this by design?

Expert Reply:
The Trailer Valet XL part # TVXL25 and the Trailer Valet XL part # TVXL2 are not designed to be stowed against the trailer like Trailer Valet 5X part # STC-V211. The Trailer Valet XL Mounting Bracket part # TVXLMB does allow you to side mount the XL to the trailer frame but does not have the option to flip it up to stow. Trailer Valet does not recommend stowing the XL because of it's design it rattles too much when stowed which can cause damage. They said you can use a ratchet strap to secure it into place if you chose but they do not recommend it.
