Can 1-1/4 Shank on Thule T2 Classic 2 Bike Rack be Converted to 2 Shank

Question:

I have a T2 Classic Bike rack that has a 1.25 1 1/4 hitch post. I do have a 2inch adapter. My question is: Is it possible to change out the to bottom of the rack to a 2inch hitch post? If so, Do you carry the part? and How much would it be? I could no information on the Thule website. Thanks.

Since all of the parts for the 1-1/4" Thule T2 Classic # TH9045 and the 2" Classic # TH9044 or the #TH9044-TH9046 are all the same except for the hitch and backbone assembly, you can use the Replacement Shank # 753-3581 with the 1-1/4" Classic that you have to convert it over to the 2" version. I confirmed this with my contact at Thule.
