Installing K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors KS62147-48G on 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500

Question:

I have a 2017 Silverado 1500. All the towing mirrors that I have seen require a new harness between the mirror and the connection point at the lower part of the door. They also require a reflash of the computer for full functionality of the new mirrors. Is any of this required for the KS62147-48G mirrors?

The K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors # KS62147-48G that you referenced are a direct, plug-and-play fit for your 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500. The included harness is going to plug right into the factory harness at the lower part of the door without the need for any separate adapter or wiring. The truck should not need to be flashed at the dealer to allow functionality of the new mirrors, either.

The only slight modification/extra step that you will need to take when installing the new mirror is to drill an additional hole for a 4th mounting screw to properly secure the mirror into place. I have attached an image of the manufacturer instructions for this and it is also shown in the attached install video below.

You should be able to follow the attached install video step by step on your 2017 Silverado.
