When you’re pulling serious weight on long trips, you need a wheel that can take it. The Aluminum Phoenix Trailer Wheel measures 17-1/2" x 6-3/4" and is rated for 4,850 lbs. It’s built to meet DOT specifications, using a tough aluminum construction that’s both durable and lightweight. The 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern and 9/16"-18 wheel bolt size give you a secure, high-capacity setup that stays steady under load.
Constantly re-torquing lug nuts is no fun. This wheel uses pressed-in steel inserts in the lug nut wells to prevent wear in the aluminum and keep your torque consistent over time. It’s a design that helps stop the holes from enlarging and keeps the wheel locked firmly on your hub for the long term.
Corrosion can wreck a good wheel fast, especially when it’s exposed to water or road grime. The Phoenix wheel’s aluminum body is completely rustproof and finished with an automotive-grade clear coat on the face. The coating protects against scuffs and scratches while keeping that black finish looking sharp season after season.
Getting the stance right matters as much as strength. This wheel runs a true zero offset with a 4.9" pilot diameter for balanced mounting and proper load distribution across the hub. The backspacing measures 3-3/8" on the 6-3/4" width, making it a precise fit where stability and even wear matter most.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

We had a defective Phoenix Trailer Wheel on our 2023 GD Solitude 390RK. Called Sarah at eTrailer and ordered a new one. I asked about a wheel warranty and she gave me the contact info for the manufacturer.
We received the wheel in a few days and it had no damage.
