Solution to Allow Ford F-350 More Tailgate Clearance when Connecting to Fifth Wheel Trailer

Have a Fifth wheel RV with Lippert 1621, 328330 pinbox 26.36 Also have 2 Ford F350s, both with professionally installed Reese Elite series hitches. Both trucks have only 2inch - 3inch between open tailgate and the RV straight on. That is inadequate! How can the pin box be extended, possibly with Lippert 282088 29 7/8 or about 3 additional inches?

The Lippert 1621 pin box is already considered to be an extended pin box so that wouldn't be the route to help your situation. Instead I would recommend a fifth wheel tailgate that has a cutout in the top of it to allow a pin box to pass through without having to drop the tailgate.
You didn't mention what year your truck is but we have the Stromberg Carlson 4000 Series 5th Wheel Louvered Tailgate # VG-15-4000 which fits newer Ford trucks like a 2018 model.
