Question:

Got a Fantastic Fan on an a-frame trailer, which heads into the wind when towing. While towing, the road vibration causes the fan knob to get loose, which allows the cover to then not be tightened down, and the wind catches it and it wants to fly off. The knob seems to be just about stripped, though it will still raise and lower the lid if Im careful. It just wont stay tight. So do I need a new knob or the part that the knob screws into on the other end?

It sounds like the operator arm on your Fantastic Vent needs to be replaced. This is what actually holds the lid down. We offer the part for this, item # FVK8011-05. You'll also need the Replacement Manual Lift Knob # FVK1142-09. If this operator arm does not match yours, please send along a photo.
