Thule WingBar Evo Roof Rack and Kayak Carrier for 2017 Jeep Renegade

Question:
Hi! I have Thule square load bars and accessories like the 883 glide and set kayak racks. My Jeep Patriot died so now I have a jeep 2017 jeep renegade with a sky roof . The factory rails are silver so Im looking into replacing my square black with silver bars. Some of the info. is confusing to me but it appears that now the aeroblades are being discontinued and all of a sudden Im now seeing a wing bar Evo. So questions are: What foot pack do I need for evo or does that automatically come as set? Will my kayak carriers still work? Im not familiar with t- slots or if x-adapt hardware needed. Id appreciate ANY advice. Ive had Thule brand for years so I tend to gravitate to them.

The WingBar Evo term is simply the new name for Thule's AeroBlade bars. Both the old and new bars include a top T-Slot channel that allows a second way to attach compatible accessory carriers but their Glide and Set kayak carrier 883 is NOT compatible with either generation of aero bar. I confirmed this with Thule.
But we can help you with a nice new silver Thule roof rack and I recommend the Evo Raised Rail system, parts # TH711400 and # TH710401, if you have raised roof rails. These silver bars are 53-inchs long to give you plenty of space for your two kayaks. An install video is linked for you. I recommend adding lock kit # TH450400.
If you have flush roof rails (that do not sit above the roof) then the aero rack you can use is Rhino-Rack Aero system instead: 54" crossbars # RRVA137B-2, 2500 Series Leg # RRRLKVA, and fit kit # DK478.
For a rear-loading kayak carrier similar to the Glide and Set you can use two of the Thule DockGlide # TH896 or for a more cost-effective side-load carrier their Stacker # TH830 which handles as many as 4 kayaks as long as they are not more than 10-feet. These carriers will fit both racks without adapters.
