On your 2019 Mazda CX-9 there is a factory port behind the passenger side trim panel that accepts a custom 4-Way trailer harness plug. If this is what you are referring to when you mentioned that your vehicle has the trailer ready connector, then you will want to start with the Tekonsha T-One Wiring Harness # 118278. This will plug right into that factory port to provide you with a 4-Way connector.
From there (or if you already have the 4-Way connector) I recommend simply adding the Tow Ready Adapter # 20036. This will plug right into the above-mentioned 4-Way to provide a 5-Way on the other end to connect with your boat trailer. The additional blue wire coming from the adapter is what will need to be spliced into the reverse circuit wire on your CX-9.
Based on my research this looks to be the black wire behind the backup light assembly on your CX-9 but you will want to test the wiring using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to be sure before making any connections.
