Will this work with this truck pulling a forty foot two axle fifth wheel?

Yes, the Tuson DirecLink Base Model Trailer Brake Controller # 335DL-100 will work well for a 40 foot trailer that is equipped with 2 axles. This unit is compatible with trailers that have up to 4 axles (8 total brake assemblies).

The DirecLink will simply plug into the OBD-II port and the pigtail harness will need to be spliced into the appropriate wires on your truck (see attached image). For your International Prostar you will likely need to add either the Module Kit # 335HDCON-6PIN if you have a 6-pin Deutsch connector or # 335HDCON-9PIN if your truck has the 9-pin connector.

Will it also work on trailers equipment equipped electric over hydraulic brakes? Or only electric?

@Leo Hey Leo! The DirectLink works with electric over hydraulic brakes, as well. If that's what you have on the trailer, you're good to go with this controller.
