I have a 2007 Volvo 670 VN. What is the difference between 335HDCON-9PIN and the335HDCON-9PIN-G500, and can I use either on my HD Truck?

The difference between the two is the 9-pin Deutsch connector they are compatible with; one is for green 9-pin Deutsch connectors (which have a slightly larger pin size) and the other is for the standard 9-pin Deutsch connector. So you wouldn't be able to use either on your truck, you would need to look at your 2007 Volvo 670 VN to see what color the 9-pin connector is; this is typically found under the dash. That will allow you to determine the right connector:
