Question:
I have a BWRVK3370 that is about 2 years old. I purchased it used after being used very little. It appears the previous owner lubricated the polyurethane bushings with a non-lithium grease. I understand using non-lithium grease can damage the bushings. They do not show any visible wear, but I wonder if they have been softenedinch or otherwise impacted so they will wear faster when I put a load on them. Is that likely to be a problem? I can wipe off the old grease and put on whatever grease you recommend. Lastly, if the the bushings do show wear, can they be replaced, or is it necessary to replace the pivot arms, and do you sell or stock those parts?

It's possible the hitch was lubricated with a non-Lithium based grease but it's also possible it was, and the grease just looks different due to age. I'd recommend using a Lithium based grease like part # L11354 after cleaning off what you've found so far. I'd be shocked if you had an issue going forward actually, especially as you don't see any wear currently. That said B and W no longer offers us the replacement pivot arms or bushings.
