Features to know about

Perfect Fit for Multi-Frame Trailers: Ultra-Fab Adjustable Width Receiver

Finding a hitch that fits various trailer frames can be a hassle, but the Ultra-Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver has an adjustable width from 47-1/8 inches to 77 inches, making it incredibly versatile for different trailer sizes. This flexibility ensures a snug fit on I-beam, C-channel, or rectangular fifth-wheel trailer frames, so you can confidently mount your bike rack or cargo carrier without worrying about compatibility issues.

Simplified Installations with Weld-On Design: Heavy-Duty Welding Compatibility

Need a hitch that's strong and reliable? This Ultra-Fab hitch features a weld-on design perfect for those who want a solid attachment. The 2-5/8 inches by 3-15/16 inches L-brackets make it straightforward to weld onto C-channel frames. Box the I-beam frames at your desired location, and you're all set for a robust, stress-free installation.

More than Just a Receiver: Designed for Accessories

Sometimes, you just need a hitch to carry your gear, not to tow. This hitch receiver is specifically designed for non-towing applications, making it ideal for bike racks and cargo carriers. With a maximum tongue weight capacity of 350 lbs, you can safely carry your favorite accessories on your trailer without the need for towing.

Reliable Construction for Long-Term Use: Powder Coated Heavy-Duty Steel

Durability is crucial for any hitch, and this one doesn't disappoint with its heavy-duty, powder-coated steel construction. It stands up to the elements and regular use, ensuring your hitch remains in excellent condition over time. The powder coat finish resists fading, even with prolonged sun exposure, providing a reliable and long-lasting hitch solution.

Enhanced Support for I-Beam Frames: Option to Reinforce with Gussets

If you're installing on I-beam frames, extra support may be necessary for a secure fit. The Ultra-Fab receiver allows for gusset reinforcement, giving you the additional stability and strength needed for a safer and more secure installation. This ensures your hitch handles weight effectively and remains stable throughout your travels.

Video Transcript for Ultra-Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver for Trailer Frames Spec Review

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Ultra Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver for trailer frames. This unit provides a 2" by 2" trailer hitch receiver opening at the rear of your trailer or RV. This is perfect for mounting the bike rack, cargo carrier or other hitch accessory. Please keep in mind that this is not to be used for towing applications. It welds onto I-beam, C-channel or rectangular trailer frames. Also keep in mind that a gusset may be required to weld onto I-beam frames. And a plate may be required to weld onto a C-channel frame.

Its constructed of heavy-duty, powder coated steel. Does a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. Features a 3500-lb weight load capacity and a 350-lb maximum tongue weight capacity. You always wanna be careful not to exceed the RV frame rating provided by the manufacturer. And one of the neat features about this unit is that it's adjustable. So it has these arms right here that can slide out.

It's able to adjust anywhere from 47-1/8" all the way out to 77". And it is a weld on installation. So these arms extend out. Really nice design. Same construction and same finishing as the main hitch.

And then it comes with some hardware here, and those are set bolts. So on the back side, once you have the arms extended where they need to be, you thread in the bolt here to kinda lock that arm into position. And again, it's a weld on installation designed to be welded onto the RV or trailer frame.Again, adjustable from 47-1/8" to 77". Right here you have a 2" by 2" opening. This will accept a standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin or hitch lock.

And then you have safety chain loops right here that provide a suitable point for securing any accessory that you might have if it has an accessory strap or a tie down strap or a cable or chain. That's what these are used for. Overall really nice design. And that's gonna do it for today's look at the Ultra Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver for trailer frames.

Package arrived intack and on time
Fairly
easy to mount on, biggest issue was strengthen the box beam welded to frame to mount hitch. Turned it upside down, gave more ground clearance. Welded a plate connecting the box beam to the frame to help reinforce that area. Looks to be a good solid hitch now!

Looks great, Kenny! What are you going to be carrying on the back of your camper?

@Gwendoly We will be carrying 2 ebikes

This is the second time buying one now that I bought a new camper. Easy to set up and weld on. Works great for adding a bike rack or luggage rack on the back of a travel trailer. Will buy another one if and when we upgrade the camper again.

by:

We needed to add a bike rack to our Cougar 28sgs fifth wheel and felt the fifth wheel bumper would not be strong enough to support carrying bikes. We purchased this hitch and turned it upside down so it rested on top of the fifth wheel bumper and welded it to the frame of the fifth wheel for support. The hitch was a perfect width to reach the frame of the fifth wheel.

Great very sturdy and well made

by:

Was not able to use it because I have a holding tank in the way.

by:

I found that the flanges that welded to the frame of the trailer are not very large putting a lot of stress on the welded joint. I had a welder add additional metal and gussets to make the hitch stronger.

by:

Works fine

by:

Installed this hitch along with a heavey 1/4" x 4'' steel rear costom bumper and attached them both to the frame and welded both together to make it even stronger to pull just about anything. Another trailer or a car dolly or cargo hauler.

by:

Had this welded to the frame of our 41' fifth wheel RV. It was used to mount an e-bike carrier. It's made it a couple of thousand miles and we have no complaints.

by:

Prompt delivery. Product is much more heavily made than expecting considering it’s not recommended for towing. Quality material and construction. I plan to mount it upside down to keep adequate ground clearance on the back end of my pop up camper.

UF35-946403 ultra-fab weld on hitch install pics

I needed a trailer hitch for the rear of my 5th wheel toy hauler. I found this company on-line and after reading some really positive reviews I ordered one. The website was very easy to use, especially for a computer challenged user. E-mails came quickly that my order was placed and then shipped. The package arrived quickly. First thing I noticed was box was kind of, well not falling apart but kind of. Extra tape was used on both ends. When I lifted it I realized why, this thing was HEAVY! After cutting the box open and inspection I was really impressed. The paint looked good. I inspected the welds and they looked very good, very NICELY done. I will be taking my 5th wheel and this hitch to a local trailer shop for install. Overall I am very impressed with the on-line ordering, the hitch exceeded my expectation. I will be towing a small open trailer with my Side by Side on it.

Yes it’s been a year since I bought this hitch. I had it welded on the rear of my toy hauler. The shop I used made quick work of it, a job well done. It only cost $100.00 . That is as far as I’ve gotten with it. I am modifying a trailer to haul my RZR and don’t have it done yet so I have not pulled anything with it.

by:

I purchased this hitch receiver so that I could attach a bike rack to the back of my camper. It was easy to assemble, adjust and install with the help of a friend who is a welder. It does add weight to the back of the trailer and load needs to be adjusted to reduce trailer sway in my case.

by:

Packaging had me very worried, because it was taped and repaired like it been through a war on both inside and outside boxes. I would have given 5 stars otherwise. Seems like a good quality hitch and fit my application. Thank you for finding a nice product for me!

Still going strong after a year! Great hitch

by:

The package came all banged up and ripped open. I hope I’m not missing anything!!!

by:

I dont know how to weld, so I had my shop at work do it for me. Our welder had it done like like 40 minutes!

The build quality on this hitch receiver is top notch. It is very heavy, sturdy and well built. I have complete faith in the hitch itself. I plan to use a Lets Go Aero BikeWing T4 bike rack and one of my bikes is a $5000 bike, so I needed to make sure whatever I got would be sturdy and well built.

by:

This is my 2nd Ultra-Fab Trailer Hitch I have ordered and installed from
etrailer. There is a reason for that, it is a great product! I have never been
disappointed from any etrailer product. The service is next to none at etrailer!
The Ultra-Fab Hitch is very well made, with quality craftsmanship. I would
not hesitate to order again. (If I have to! Dang Hail Storms in Wyoming!)

by:

We have received the package, which was in very good condition. I have recently had knee replacement surgery and have not had a chance to have the hitch installed.

Very well. It fit perfect and works great. Thank you.

by:

Excellent product! The item was out of stock but communication with ET was on great. They notified me of when the unit would be available and when it was shipped and delivered as well. It was in good condition other than being a bit scuffed up by the shipping company. It fit my 31' 5R just fine and the welder took only an hour to install it. Very sturdy product! It'll work perfectly for my bikes and would likely work just fine for a Moped as well. One word of caution; you will likely have to purchase an extension (mine is 8") for the receiver if you have a fiberglass body. It makes the bikes wobble a lot more so you'll have to use tie-down straps (a good idea anyway). Very happy with this.

by:

I had this welded to my 40’ fifth wheel and using a Kuat bike carrier I hauled 4 large frame mountain bikes over 20 thousand miles and across the worst roads the US interstate system has to offer. It worked perfect.

by:

Received the Ultra-Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver for 5th Wheel Trailer Frame as promised. Installation was simple. Once positioned, clamped it and started welding. Centered the receiver and tightened the bolts then added a spot weld for backup.

by:

Excellent product. Very tough, straight and true. Had it welded up onto my 5th wheel by a trailer welding shop for about $110. I use it for a bike rack only but an equipment rack would work also.

by:

Works great for what I purchased for, hauling pedal bikes. Was able to mount upside down so receiver goes over rear bumper, keeping hitch higher.

by:

This is an excellent product. It was much stronger and better made than I anticipated. I had a certified welder come to my house and weld this hitch to my E-Pro trailer. I can now mount my bicycle rack to carry my two e-bikes safely while travelling. Recommended product.

by:

Very easy to use product. Fit well and very sturdy. Had a friend weld it on and I trust it more than the trailer frame metal! I use it for 2 place bike rack.

by:

As always Etrailer has come thru. I ordered this part from another vendor cancelled it because of delay and ordered from Etrailer and received it a day early. Thanks Lori

PS. Now my bike rack, my trucks 5th wheel hitch and my rv receiver hitch is thanks to Etrailer and my credit card. Etrailer is the most professional organization I have ever done business with.

Yes, in order to carry a bike rack or cargo carrier on the rear of your 2018 Jay Flight SLX 184BS I highly recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13702 which is specifically designed for trailers and RV's and will give you a 2" receiver tube opening.
