Question:

we just had a yakima roof rack put on pt cruiser with J hook for kayak. I am afraid of someone stealing the j hook. do you make a locking device to prevent theft?

I spoke with my contact at Yakima and he informed me that if you have the Yakima JayLow Folding J-Style Kayak Carrier # Y04073 you could install a set of SKS Yakima Lock Cores # Y07202 into the unit and it would be locked to your roof rack. I attached installation instructions for this product for you to check out also.

If you have the Yakima HullRaiser J-Style Roof Mounted Kayak Carrier # Y04039 you could use an etrailer Cable Lock # e98891. You could weave this product in and out of your kayak carrier and then secure it with the lock. I attached installation instructions for this product for you to check out also.
