Hi everyone. It's Evangeline and today we'll be taking a look at our replacement mounting hardware for your Yakima Rooftop Carriers right here at etrailer. So this is gonna be your replacement mounting hardware for some specific Yakima Rooftop Carriers. So check out the product page for the exact list. What I have here is the Yakima Fresh Track. I also have the Yakima Real Deal, but also work with some of your Kayak Carriers.
So let's take a look at some of the parts. It's gonna be an exact replacement for some carriers and it's gonna be an additional replacement so for some others. This is gonna have five parts. You're gonna get one, and two of these rubber pads go between your clamps. Then you have this wing nut, you have this T bolt which fits into your bottom mounting bail.
So if you have, let's say parts missing, you have damaged parts on your carriers that do not include these please check out our other product pages to get the correct replacement for you. So depending on your carriers the install process will be a little bit different. For example, for our Fresh Track here we only need one of these rubber pads. That's gonna fit on our top clamp. And then we can use our bottom bail as well as the T bolt and the wing nut.
So I'll demonstrate how to replace your parts on our Yakima Real Deal. The first thing you wanna do is to loosen your T bolt so make sure you rotate that wing nut all the way till it comes off. Once that comes off, you can take the T bolt off completely, flip this around to the back and just twist the mounting bail off of your top there. This rubber pad goes onto the top clamp of the Yakima Real Deal. If you had the Kayak Carriers you may want to use the bottom pad for the bottom clamp and place it a little bit different.
Either way whatever works out for you, just replace the needed parts on you carrier the exact same way you took them off. So that was a very quick replacement, very quick install. Remember, if you do have the Real Deal or the Fresh Track and you need the entire assembly replaced the only parts missing for you are gonna be your top clamp. Find that here at etrailer. If you have the other carriers definitely check out those product pages just to make sure that you get the right fit for you. It's really nice to see though that we do have those exact replacements and remember they are exact replacements and not designed to be used with other non Yakima accessories. Perfect
Recieved my product in perfect condition and 2 days earlier then expected.
Just what I needed. I bought this as a spare to have aboard just-in-case something whacks my rack because us Type-A blokes are concerned about such rare possibilities.
Of course it's well built and it quickly and accurately showed up on my desk shortly after ordering it and other etreasures.
I appreciate etrailer's successful efforts in maintaining a solid inventory of spare parts for the goods that they sell.
I needed this as a backup for the clamp jaw on the Yakima front loader bike rack. It's exactly as descibed, and delivery was prompt. This is not the first time I have purchased from etrailer, I would purchase from them again, and I would recommend etrailer to others.
Everything came in, looks like it is factory level equipment. I will see if it works, the ski racks are at the cabin, I won't be there for a couple weeks. Right now I am happy, could not find these parts when trying to go through Yakima Website, I know my daughter will be happy as well, somehow this part was misplaced and we can't find it.
