How To Carry Both Kayak and Paddle Board On Crossbars

Question:

My daughter has car rails on her car. She is looking for holders for both a kayak and paddleboard. Would the Thule or another brand have holders that can carry both kinds of watercraft? Thank you!

The best option we offer to carry both kayaks and paddle boards but not at the same time is the Thule Compass Kayak and SUP Carrier part # TH890000 because the upright can be folded down to carry up to two paddle boards or one kayak and the upright can be folded back up to carry two kayaks.

If you need to carry both at the same time, you'd need to go with a true j-style like the etrailer J-Style Kayak Carrier part # e98878 and true saddle style like the Thule SUP Shuttle Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier part # TH811XT. These options all come with tie-downs.
