Question:
I own a 2007 Toyota 4Runner and I am looking for a kayak carrier for the roof. I prefer to purchase either foam with tie downs or the saddles, however I am unsure which one or if either will fit my factory rack. Can you please assist me in finding the right carrier for my 4Runner?

If you decide on foam blocks with tie downs the Rightline Gear Foam-Block-Style Kayak Carrier, # RL100K10, would work great on your 2007 Toyota 4Runner. This system includes basic tie downs for the front and back of the kayak. I would recommend adding attachment points like the Thule Hood Loops, # TH529 to secure the front and rear tie downs.
You may also want to check out the Thule Quick Draw Ratchet-Rope Tie Down System, # TH855XT. This system makes tying down the bow and stern much easier and more secure.
If you decide to go with saddles the Thule Top Deck Kayak Saddles, # TH881, would make a great choice and will also fit on your factory cross bars. You could use the same hood loops and Quick Draw ratchet-rope system to make installation easier with these saddles also.
