How to Carry Two Kayaks on a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta

I have a 2013 vw jetta and I need a complete roof rack set up to carry 2 kayaks. Do you have any suggestions?

I have exactly what you need to carry two kayaks on your 2013 Volkswagen Jetta. For starters, you will need a roof rack and for this I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbar System which is composed of part # RRVA118B-2, part # RRRLKVA, part # DK306.I like this system because it has the same features (aero crossbars/channel mounts) as premium brands such as Thule and Yakima but without the premium price. It also comes with locks whereas they would be extra for Thule and Yakima. The aero crossbars are great because they cut down on wind drag and create less noise than other styles.

For a kayak carrier, I recommend I recommend the etrailer.com J-Style Kayak Carrier part # E98878 which has all of the features listed above but will take up more space on the roof. I have attached a few review videos for you as well as a photo of the roof rack installed on a Jetta.

I went out into our showroom and measured the dimensions of a set of discontinued Thule square load bars and found that they are 7/8 of an inch by 1-1/4 inches. This is identical to the Inno square bars like #INB137.
