Do Goodyear Endurance Trailer Tires Need to be Inflated to Max PSI of 80

Published 01/15/2019

Question:

We have a 25-ft RV trailer which currently has D rated tires and we need to purchase new tires. We are interested in the new Goodyear Endurance tires, which are E rated. Can we safely inflate those tires to the 65 psi or must they be inflated to the full 80 psi maximum pressure? Thank you.

Trailer tires have to be inflated to their max psi rating at all times to ensure that you get the full capacity out of them, but also because failure to do so causes flex on the sidewall which will heat the tires up too much and potentially cause failure.

That said, I am not totally sure which Goodyear Endurance tire you are referring to but I was able to attach a link to a page to all of the Load Range E tires from Goodyear that have an 80 psi max rating.
