Im heading to the mountains. There will be snow. What can one do to deal with the tire chain issue? Is there a recommended brand/size/style?

The standard 17 inch wheel size for the 2015 Subaru Forester is 225/60-17. The Thule tire chains part # TH2004205104 that you referenced does fit this size and is a great choice. It installs easily, provides great traction and only requires 9 mm of clearance. You'll need to check the owners manual of your vehicle to determine if there are any tire chain restrictions. If there are, you can sometimes contact a Subaru dealer in the area you will be travelling who will have experience with the chain requirements and they can help come up with a safe solution they'll endorse.
