Question:
Hi! ... New to RVing ... will be having my dealer install the P3 for my new TT. Can you tell me about how long a professional install should take? I believe the unit will need to be hard wired into my 2008 5.7 V-8 Chrysler Aspen, since I do not have the factory tow package on my vehicle. Much appreciated.

Installation time is going to vary by shop and the experience of their mechanics. If you are going to an RV dealer that has experienced mechanics that have done hard wire installations several times in the past, I would say that the install time for the P-3 brake controller, # 90195, the 4-Way wiring harness, # 118390, and the brake controller installation kit, # ETBC7, will require 3-1/2 to 4 hours of install time.
Here at our facility we do video installations and the time required for each install is much longer, so we do not have a specific answer for you.
We do have an installation video of the # 118390 Wiring harness, the # ETBC7 brake controller install kit and a brake controller on a 2008 Chrysler Aspen without towing package for you to review. These videos, along with the instructions included with the items, see links, would allow you to complete a professional looking installation right at home, if you were up to the challenge and have the time to do the install. For a novice installer you should probably allow a full morning and afternoon for the install so you can take your time and avoid mistakes from trying to hurry. This install is pretty straight forward and the items listed are all you will need to complete the installation.
