I need to put a trailer brake controller on my 2011 express van, it is already wired for trailer lights, what else will I need to install?

Expert Reply:
Because your 2011 Chevy Express Van already has a 7-way installed what you'll need to do is find the blue wire that is ran near the emergency brake pedal and connect that to the blue wire of the brake controller. The white wire would get ran to a ground, the black to the positive power post of the battery, and the red to the circuit on your brake pedal that only sees voltage when the brakes are applied. When we installed the very popular Prodigy P2 part # 90885 on a similar 2016 Chevy Express we had to run this wire to the fuse box using a fuse tap. If you check the install video link I attached you'll see how we did this.
