How to Bypass Factory Brake Controller of 2016 Ford F-350 Cab and Chassis

I have a 2016 f350 cab and chassis, it has the factory brake controller but it works intermittently. I have a p3 controller but I cant find the plug, does it have one since it has the factory controller?

Expert Reply:
The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller, # 90195 and # 3034-P, will be all that you need to bypass you factory controller. This brake controller will hook up to your 2016 Ford F350 CC and bypass the factory controller.
The Ford factory brake controller that is in the dash does not have to be removed. You will need to unplug the connector under the dash and plug in the # 3034-P adapter for the Prodigy P3 brake controller to the factory brake controller plug behind the dash.
The vehicle will need the computer flashed so it will keep from searching for the connection to the OEM brake controller in the future, eliminating any fault codes. This will usually have to be done at the Ford Dealer.
