Question:

Hi I have a 2015 Jayco pop up trailer. My current tires are st145r12 and it shows 1220lbs 65psi max. Wheels have 4 bolt holes and I was not able to find wheel’s weight capacity. Now I would like to put a kenda karrier st145r12 radial trailer load range E on that wheels. However I have read some articles that said mounting Load range E tire on 4 bolt4 on 4 wheel can be dangerous. So I just want to know if it is true or I can use range E tire with that wheel. Thanks.

There's no reason you couldn't install a Load Range E trailer tire part # AM10140 on your wheels that are 4 lug trailer wheels. As long as your valve stems are rated for the extra pressure you wouldn't have any issues at all. You won't get additional weight capacity though as basically all 4 lug, 12 inch trailer wheels are going to have a 1,250 lb capacity and the tire I mentioned is rated for 1,520 lb.
