Question:
Follow up question to the one about the 2X2 hitch receiver covers. You said that the hitch tube was 1.5X1.5 inside dimension and that a 2X2 cover would not fit. What is the outside dimension of the hitch tube versus the inside dimensions of the 2X2 cover. Might the 2X2 cover fit over the outside of the hitch tube? It might be tight, but some physical encouragement might make it work. Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 Item # 76225

Expert Reply:
The inner diameter of the crosstube on the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76225 is 1-1/2". Therefore, a trailer hitch cover designed for a 2" receiver tube opening like the Rubber Hitch Cover part # 22282 will not work for this application. With that being said I am certain you could find something to work for this application with just a bit of modifications.
I have attached a sample install video for you as well.
