Question:
I have a 2018 CR-V and trying to figure out how heavy of a trailer I can pull. Can you help with this?

I took a look at the online version of the owner's manual for your 2018 Honda CR-V. Under the "Towing a Trailer" section it lists a maximum trailer weight of 1,500 pounds. This is the heaviest trailer your CR-V can safely pull.
In order to tow a trailer you will need a trailer hitch, wiring harness, and ball mount.
Starting with the hitch I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Round Tube Receiver Hitch # 76128 as it features the highest weight capacities and easiest installation process out of the hitches available for your CR-V. I have attached an installation video on the 2018 model that you can use for reference.
Then for wiring the Tekonsha T-One Harness # 118741 will work perfectly. This is a custom harness that will install by plugging right into a factory port behind the driver side trim panel. It will provide you with a 4-Way connector to connect with and power a trailer's basic signal lights. I like the Tekonsha harness because it has a more secure mounting method to the vehicle with the included screw rather than double-sided tape like what other brand harnesses use.
I have again attached an installation video that you can check out.
When choosing a ball mount it is important to select one that will allow the trailer to pull level when hooked up to your CR-V. I have attached a great article that explains exactly how to do this along with a link that will take you to our available selection of ball mounts that you can look through. I have also included a couple additional articles on trailer towing that you might find helpful.
