Published 10/20/2021

Question:

I have a 2018 Honda CR-V, and I would like to get more info on this item. I was reading the description, and it said that there is a compressor and a gauge to monitor the level of the vehicle which item would that be? Also, if I dont buy the compressor, do I have to inflate the bags all the time?

Let's start with your question about inflation, and yes, you you will need to continually inflate the Air Lift springs that fit your 2018 Honda CR-V, which are the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs # AL98WQ.

The reason for that is the springs need to be inflated to a minimum of 5 psi at all times, and the right air pressure will take some adjustment based on how the ride is on your '18 CR-V. You will want to check the air pressure on at least a weekly basis and the air pressure will naturally go down over time. So a compressor is definitely a good idea to go with the # AL98WQ springs, just for simple convenience, and the fact that they automatically adjust air pressure if it falls below the minimum 5 psi.

For a compressor if you'd like to go that route, there is the option for an economical one with an analog gauge that mounts in your cab, the Air Lift Load Controller II Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL25592.

Alternatively, there is also the option to go with a wireless system that uses your smartphone or its included remote, the Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL25980EZ.
