Question:

Jameson, the white ground wire that is attached to HM1114114 plug is screwed on truck, right!, so what white wire is connected to the black wire on the truck, according to color chart, white wire connects to black wire? Theres only one white wire. Also, for reference, what happens if bare orange wire touch metal of truck? Appreciate your imput!

The white wire of the # HM11141144 is the ground wire for the harness and the black wire of your truck would be the ground so those two need to be connected. Or you can run the white wire of the harness to a clean metal surface on the truck frame as that will ground the harness as well. Since the orange wire of your truck is the 12 volt accessory circuit it will spark if you touch it to the metal of your truck. The fuse related to this circuit will most likely pop too.

I'm not quite sure what color OEM wires are for which trailer functions on your 2016 Ram 3500 but I can help you out in regards to where each function should be located on your 7-Way socket. You're going to need to test each wire as you run through the functions to determine which wires carry which functions. @Randy Unfortunately I don't have a chart like this one that corresponds with the wiring colors on your 2002 F-250. Since wiring colors could change over production or in the time since manufacturing if customization or repairs were made, testing the wires for function is always the safest bet.
