What Should be Measured to Determine if Convert-A-Ball Gives Right Amount of Clearance?

Question:
CAB-C5GX1216 5th Wheel to goose neck adapter. I have a 6 foot bed that has a auxiliary fuel/tool box tank mounted in the bed behind the cab. It sits below the bed rails and is 20 inch deep. Ive pulled regular goose necks with no clearance issues. Will I have a problem with this conversion? One reason Im looking to convert is so I do not have to remove the auxiliary fuel tank. Thank you

In order to determine if the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5GX1216, which offers 7-1/2 inches of offset, will provide you with the proper clearance you will need to measure from the gooseneck hitch ball in the truck to the back of the truck cab and add 7-1/2 (for the offset). Keeping that number in mind, divide the width of your fifth wheel by two.
You will need the measurement you took plus the 7-1/2 inch offset to be at least 4 inches more than the width of your fifth wheel divided by two. I've added a link to a video review of this part for you to take a look at.
