Question:

Is there a replacement part for the cable which I cannot find a number on Thule diagram for the cable of Thule Classic T2 917XTR ? The cable ought to be attached somewhere somehow within the Rachet Arm Assembly 753-3579. Or the cable with the lock comes with the arm assembly ? Thanks for your kind attention.

The ratcheting arm assembly # 753-3579 that you referenced doesn't actually use a cable lock as the hook itself does the locking. You will need to add lock cylinders like part # TH450200 for this feature to work though.

If you are wanting the arm assembly that uses the cable then you will want part # 752-1272-001 instead. I spoke with my contact at Thule who said that the cable isn't available separately because there are some springs inside that allow the cable to operate properly.
