Question:

I have a T2 917, not sure if its a 917XTR, 917 or 917XT, but the ratchet arm assembly on the Thule website for parts has two different part numbers for the ratchet arm assembly, 1500056285 and 1500056243. Which one is the longest ratchet arm assembly?

The Replacement Locking Ratchet Arm Assembly # 753-3579(1500056243) is a fit for the TH916, TH916XT, TH917, and TH917XT bike racks. The Replacement Lockable Ratchet Arm Assembly # 752-1272-001(1500056285) is for the TH916XTR or TH917XTR. Since these are for different racks I cannot verify if they are cross compatible and you will need to verify exactly what rack you have to ensure the correct replacement arm. As all of the different racks these are designed to fit are designed to hold up to the same 29" diameter by 3" wide tires they are likely the same length.
