is there a method to get the ratchet to engage and lock..the one arm ratchet does not lock it slides up down freely not holding the tire

I made a short video with a basic overview of how to insert a lock and then lock the arms on a Thule T2 bike rack like # TH916XTR. If you have followed this method and the arms still moves freely when it should be locked then there is a problem inside the unit and the arm should be replaced.

The Thule T2 is the older style and the T2 Classic #TH9044-TH9046 and T2 Pro XTR #TH83JV are the newer style. The newer T2 Classic and the pro xtr can accept tires up to 5 inches wide but it does require changing the strap location. I've attached…

I checked with Thule and they do not offer just the foam piece that goes on the hook of the Replacement Hook for Thule T2 Bike Carrier #753-3583 so only solution is the entire hook assembly.
