What are the difference between curt C15572 and 14374 hitches? I know they are class v and iv and weight rating to match. Is the class IV made of thinner metal or does it have a smaller foot print or profile? What is the weight difference?

Yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 14374 is made of 1/4" thick metal and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C15572 is made of 3/8" thick metal. They are both a fit for your 2018 Ram 1500. The class IV hitch is about 49 lbs and the class V hitch is about 51 lbs. The profile is the same.
