I already had a hitch installed on my Highlander 2018 but I need a 7 way connector to tow my trailer with brakes.

If your 2018 Toyota Highlander didn't come with the factory tow package then I highly recommend installing the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness # 22119. This comes with everything that you need for a fully functioning 7-Way plus it includes an adapter so that you can install a Tekonsha brake controller.

To mount the 7-Way connector to your trailer hitch I recommend using the mounting bracket # PK12711U and the no-drill unit # 18140.

I recommend using the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 brake controller if you don't already have one. Not only will it connect directly to this wiring kit but it is also very easy to use. It has an LCD screen that uses text and pictures to tell you what is going on instead of just using codes like older controllers use.
