Looking for tallest 5th wheel hitch for my truck. 2018 Ram 3500 with factory pucks.

For your 2018 Ram 3500 with the factory rail kit I recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3600. In addition to being the tallest available hitch we have that will fit the factory pucks on your Ram (height adjustment of 17 to 19 inches) the Companion line is also considered by many to be the best hitches on the market. This unit features 1 inch thick dual jaws to provide an excellent connection with the trailer, a fully articulating head that will help to ease hookup and limit chucking, and a robust 25,000 pound towing capacity.

Most likely you are asking about a taller hitch because you are worried about clearance between the trailer overhang and the Ram's bed rails. We recommend a minimum clearance of around 5 to 6 inches. Just make sure that going with a taller hitch doesn't cause the trailer to ride unlevel. You may also need to adjust the pin box on the trailer to account for the change in height on the hitch.
