Does Roadmaster Universal Brake Monitor # RM-9530 Work without Breakaway Kit Installed

Question:
I am planning not to connect the breakaway wire and would like to know if the other features will still work. I have the auxiliary switch package on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL and will install this down by the passenger side kick panel next to the auxiliary switch wire bundle is located.

I spoke with my contact at Roadmaster and he informed me that the Roadmaster Universal Brake Monitor # RM-9530 that you referenced will work without a breakaway kit installed. Reason being is that under normal circumstances the breakaway circuit of this does not have any voltage on it and it's only when it sees voltage does it know that a breakaway system has been activated.
