Will Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Work with Draw-Tite Gooseneck

Question:
I have a draw-tite 6300 gooseneck in my truck bed. I’ll the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel hitch work with my configuration? I am concerned because the gooseneck mounting plate extends slightly above the bed, less than 1 inch. Will the fifth wheel hitch sit flat on my bed?

Yes, the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # DM8550045 referenced in your question will fit and work well with the existing Draw-Tite Gooseneck Trailer Hitch on your truck. The center mast on the adapter hitch will attach to the gooseneck ball and its open, slightly raised base will allow it to fit without issue with the mounting plate on your gooseneck hitch that extends less than an inch above the bed.
The Demco Recon features a 21,000 pound towing weight capacity and also has 3 height settings to better fit your application. I have attached a short video demonstration that you can also check out.
