Can B&W Companion Be Adapted To Work With Recessed "Non B&W" Gooseneck Ball?

2016 Chevy 3500 HD dually w Bradford Steel flatbed. Just removed OEM bed and installed flatbed. Been using BandW Companion which will not work w a fixed not a turnover ball ball. Does BandW sell an adapter which will allow use of the Companion?Recessed bed dimensions 13x16 where ball is located. Options?

Hello Charlie, thanks for reaching out. Sadly, there is no adapter that will allow your B&W Companion hitch to work with a recessed gooseneck ball. If you need to hook up a 5th wheel to your flatbed with a fixed gooseneck ball, the only option would be to use the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter for Recessed Ball # DM8550046. This attaches directly to the ball and gives you a 21K rated 5th wheel hitch. Just keep in mind the top of your gooseneck ball must be at 13/16" or closer to the top of the truck bed in order to use this hitch.
