Spare Tire Carrier for 4 Lug Trailer Wheel

I do have options for your 4 lug wheel but the Bumper Mounted Tire Carrier part # TR-1 only works with 5, 6, and 8 lug wheels. Unfortunately, we do not have any spare tire carriers that will work with a 4 lug wheel and affix to a 4" wide x 4" tall rear bumper. Check out the Fulton # FSTC1000301 which can mount on the trailer frame or back 4X4 inch bumper.

I have attached a list of our spare tire carries that will work with a 4 lug wheel for you as well.

The maxx tow spare tire carrier will work but won’t fit 4x4 square tube bumper. Couldn’t you just replace the bolts for longer ones? Seems logical.

It's funny you mentioned that because I had the same thought in regards to the MaxxTow Spare Tire Carrier part # MT70214 but no way to confirm it. However, after further reviewing the design I don't see any reason as to why it could not be used on a 4" wide x 4" tall bumper so long as the bolts are replaced by most likely a grade 5, 4-1/2" hex head bolt. I also recommend using either a lock washer and nut or nyloc nut to secure the bolts as this will prevent them from backing out.

There will not be any issues using the MaxxTow Spare Tire Carrier part # MT70214 with your 15" diameter wheels if you have a 4 on 4" lug pattern. The only issue will be the 4" wide x 4" tall bumper which as we discussed does not seem to be a problem once the longer bolts are obtained.
