How to Mount a Spare Tire on a Roof Cargo Basket

Hey guys. I drive a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Im interested in purchasing the Rola cargo basket. Couple of questions. Can I carry a 32 inch 255/75/17 BF Goodrich KM Mud Terrain tire on it? Will it fit in the basket dimension wise? I attached a pic of my spare. Also, what companies make compatible spare wheel holders? I know Rhino Rack sells one. Thanks in advance.

Yes, your BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM 255/75-17 Tire will fit inside theThule Roof Cargo Basket part # TH859XT on your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. The tire has an overall diameter of 32.1" and the internal dimensions of the basket are 49" long x 40" wide x 6" deep which means it will be a fit.
They currently do not make a spare tire holder specifically for this basket but there are others available that may work for you, we have just not tested them. These options include but are not limited to the Spare Tire Carrier part # RSWH, Spare Tire Carrier part # Y07076, and Spare Tire Carrier part # SPST100.
The most compatible spare tire option in my opinion is the part # Y07076. If the clamps on the carrier do not line up initially then you could certainly just adjust them to work with the above cargo basket. I have attached review videos for you.
