Question:
The newer generation Altima doenst have an Exhaust Flange as detailed in the instructions. The connection uses a Band Clamp. Is there a sealant or gasket that is needed to ensure the Band Clamp is properly sealed? Is there any special tool, or heat required to separate the Muffler from the Header pipe? Is this just a friction slip fit?

When installing the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 24796 on a 2011 Nissan Altima, you will still need to temporarily remove that portion of the exhaust as indicated in the instructions. With the band clamp instead of a flange, you will just re-install the same parts that came with the clamp when you removed it.
No sealant or gasket will be required. I have included a link to the installation details and a video showing a typical installation for you. In the video, the 2010 Altima actually does have band clamps.
If you plan on doing some towing, the correct ball mount is # 3594 and you can use pin and clip # PC2. For a ball, use # 19256 (1-7/8 inch diameter) or # 19258 (2 inch diameter). For trailer wiring, use T-One Connector, # 118470. I have included a link to the installation details and a video showing a typical installation for you.
